Sample Playing Preschool
Choosing a homeschool preschool program is a personal choice for every family. The curriculum must match each family’s needs and support a year of growth and development.

Enjoy this sneak peek of Playing Preschool Unit 1: Apples
The theme of Unit 1 is Apples, and it is one of my favorites in the program. Regardless of when you begin Playing Preschool, this unit is the perfect place to kick off the year of learning! In this two-week unit, children use apples as tools for scientific learning, to build vocabulary words, and to learn more about sequence (hint: the life cycle of an apple).
Units begin with an overview explanation to orient the parent-teacher with the unit’s learning.
A simple, detailed supply list is included.
The book list contains suggested titles that complement the unit.
You’ll also find a clearly laid out weekly grid highlighting the learning goals and “Questions for the Week.”
Each unit spans two weeks, and each week has an overview grid so you, the teacher, can see how the days will progress.
Daily Lesson Plan
Designed to be easy to read and implement, each Playing Preschool lesson plan follows a predictable format:
Opening, Introduction, Read Aloud, Things to Talk About , Learning Activity, and Easy Activity
The formulaic design is intended to help build confidence for parent-teachers.
